Garden + House is the culmination of our clients’ long-held vision for a home that reaches into the garden. It is also a place to entertain, house their art collection and accommodate them as they transition to an empty nest. The couple inhabits one level without it feeling cavernous or having to use the stairs, while the zoning of the floor plan around an east-facing courtyard gives them the connection to the outdoors they so desire. A bar is the centrepiece of the open living space, which has its own north-facing view of the garden, and this allows for big family get-togethers.
